Veson Nautical will undergo continual security audits on an annual basis to maintain
Veson Nautical, the leading provider of commercial maritime software and services, today announced its completion of the System and Organization Controls (SOC) 2 Type II attestation for its Veson IMOS Platform cloud solution, for the second year in a row. The 2020 report included zero exceptions to the controls covered in the audit – a demonstration of stringent cloud security practices.
Software Leader’s Third-Party SOC 2 Attestation from AICPA receives no Exceptions, Demonstrating a Commitment to Cloud Security
Veson’s SOC 2 Type II Report – compiled by RSM, a leading global security and compliance firm – is issued for the Security Trust Services Principle. This demonstrates that Veson Nautical’s information and systems are protected against potential attack vectors and unauthorized access, both physical and logical, to satisfy business objectives. Furthermore, the Type II report verifies that these controls operate effectively throughout the course of the year, confirming that Veson maintains a consistently reliable security posture at all times.
Third-party security
This third-party security report validates that Veson’s internal processes are explicitly mapped to corresponding SOC 2 controls established by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). This marks the second year in a row since adopting the SOC 2 framework where a clean report was issued, attesting that the controls were suitably designed throughout the period to provide reasonable assurance that Veson’s service commitments and system requirements were achieved.
Notable about the company’s second annual attestation is the lack of any exceptions found in the audit, meaning every cloud security practice at Veson Nautical is in line with the standards set by the AICPA. Not only was a clean report delivered, but Veson successfully remediated all identified exceptions in the previous report, demonstrating a clear commitment to constant improvement and maintaining the highest standards.
“We are glad to have received a completely clean SOC 2 evaluation for 2020,”commented Leonard Bond, Manager of Information Technology at Veson. “We feel this is a testament of our commitment to cloud security.”
Clients interested
Continued Tim Strudwick, CFO at Veson, “as a pioneer in the cloud technology space, our first priority is keeping client data secure; we look forward to maintaining our track record now and in the future.”
Veson Nautical will undergo continual security audits on an annual basis to maintain its successful attestation. Clients interested in accessing details of the report should contact their Veson Nautical Account Manager.
