Under the motto “Climate First”, WindEnergy Hamburg will once again be the global meeting place for the onshore and offshore wind energy industry from 27 to 30 September 2022.
One year from now WindEnergy Hamburg 2022 will launch its innovative H2 Expo and Conference which will span the entire spectrum of hydrogen technology. What is more, for the first time the conference programme of the world’s leading wind industry expo will be open to all visitors free of charge, right in the middle of the exhibition halls.
Under the motto “Climate First”, WindEnergy Hamburg will once again be the global meeting place for the onshore and offshore wind energy industry from 27 to 30 September 2022. More than 1,400 national and international exhibitors will showcase the latest products, services and trends in nine exhibition halls, covering 65.000 m2. Roughly 35,000 industry visitors from 100 countries will come to Hamburg to see the entire spectrum of the wind industry’s value chain and get a comprehensive overview of the status, development and future of the global wind market.
As a first at WindEnergy Hamburg 2022, the H2 Expo and Conference will provide a new international meeting place focused on the generation, distribution and use of green hydrogen. From major project developers through to young start-ups, the entire wind energy sector will be present to share ideas and views with key stakeholders from business and politics about the latest trends. “Green Hydrogen is THE topic of the future, and we will be giving it the biggest stage possible at WindEnergy Hamburg 2022. For four days there will be numerous opportunities to network and listen to insightful expert speeches,” said Bernd Aufderheide, President and CEO, Hamburg Messe und Congress GmbH.
For the first time, the popular conference programme of WindEnergy Hamburg will take place right in the middle of the halls free of charge to enrich the trade fair experience with the knowledge of thought leaders from industry and science. The WindEnergy Hamburg team are developing this programme jointly with their partners, including the Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC), the European organisation WindEurope, the national industry associations VDMA and BWE, leading industry media and exhibitors, among others.
Three open stages themed “Empowering People”, “Global Business” and “Power4Climate” respectively will be available for keynote speeches and panel discussions of international experts. The only conference requiring a premium ticket for access will be “Policy Insights”. “For WindEnergy Hamburg 2020 we had updated our conference concept to better reflect the needs of the market, but unfortunately the conference could only be held digitally at the time. Now we are very excited about being able to present the results of our work to our exhibitors and visitors physically next year. In an industry showing such dynamic development,
WindEnergy Hamburg is the key event where major players, decision-makers and pioneers can get informed, network, and negotiate deals. This is a place where knowledge can be shared globally in a very focused manner. To us this means implementing an open conference concept right in the middle of our exhibition halls that interlinks directly with the exhibits,” said Bernd Aufderheide.
