AAPA LATINO : Experts to discuss waterways and river ports in Santos this November
Waterways and river ports: a pillar of Latin American logistics, to be addressed at the AAPA LATINO
Did you know that 70% of the surface area of South America is part of a river basin? Indeed, of the 17 million km2 that constitute the territory of this region, 12 million are within the area of influence of a river, most of them navigable.
River logistics is an important part of the continental port industry. The movement of cargo through waterways such as the Paraná-Paraguay or inland water routes in countries such as Colombia or Brazil are an example of how countries have taken advantage of the benefits offered by the territory.
The current state of this mode of transport, as well as its threats and challenges -in a context of climate change- will be thoroughly analyzed by international experts at the Roundtable “River Ports and Waterways”, one of the highlights of the #AAPALATINO’s agenda to be held November 28-30 in Santos, Brazil.
The AAPA Latino is the annual meeting of the Latin American port leadership par excellence, where the most representative players of the field present and discuss both current and future projects in the industry.
Featuring an exclusive commercial exhibition, a technical visit to the host port and an unmissable social and networking program, we are the indispensable event for updating and port business in Latin America.
