Chelsea also has an agreement with Japan’s Kumiai Senpaku for the construction of a 98-meter passenger ferry, with delivery scheduled for April 2020.
The Philippine shipping and logistics company Chelsea Logistics and Infrastructure Holdings Corp. has taken over the management of Cebu-based ferry operator SuperCat.
Ownership of the ferry company transferred to the shipping and logistics arm of the Udenna Group on October 9.
“Taking the helm of SuperCat Fast Ferry is both exciting and rewarding as it will strengthen Chelsea’s shipping portfolio in furtherance of its business direction,” Chryss Alfonsus V. Damuy, Chelsea President & CEO, said.
“With this new addition to our growing fleet, we can operate in more strategic areas, open new routes, and serve more passengers.”
SuperCat has 11 fastcrafts serving the routes of Cebu-Ormoc, CebuTabilaran, Batangas-Calapan, and Bacolod-Iloilo.
