Garmin International announced their newest and smallest watch-style dive computer. The Descent Mk2S is ideal for those with smaller wrists. This smaller and more fashionable alternative to what’s currently on the market does not skimp on technology.
“Building on the success of the Descent Mk2, we’re excited to give divers more options, especially our female customers,” said Dan Bartel, Garmin vice president of global consumer sales.“A tribute to your active lifestyle and passion as a diver, theMk2S is both an essential tool for diving and a smart timepiece that allows you to track your activities around-the-clock.”
Dive ready right out of the box, the Mk2S is a full-featured dive watch and supports multiple dive modes and multiple gas dives, including nitro, trimix and 100% O2, apnea, apnea hunt and closed-circuit rebreather.
The Descent Mk2S can store and review dive data for up to 200 dives on the watch and is compatible with the Garmin Dive app. When not diving, the Mk2S doubles as a premium multi-sport GPS smartwatch with all-day health monitoring.
Women may find this dive watch especially appealing, not only for its smaller size but features, including Garmin’s industry-leading women’s health features including menstrual cycle and pregnancy tracking plus advanced sleep monitoring, allowing users to see their Sleep Score and Insights on the wrist upon waking.
The Descent Mk2S is compatible with the Garmin inReach and most smartphones and is available in three colorways — light gold with light sand silicone band, carbon gray DLC with black silicone band and mineral blue with seafoam silicone band. Descent Mk2S boasts up to seven days of battery life in smartwatch mode and up to 30 hours in dive mode. The dive watch retails for $999.99.
