DNV : Launch of Energy Transition Outlook 2022 Today
How are macro-economic and geopolitical developments affecting the energy transition and how to turn climate talk into action?
DNV is launching its 6th edition of the Energy Transition Outlook, providing a detailed forecast of the demand and supply of energy towards 2050 as well as a pathway to reach net zero emissions.
This free event will be opened by DNV Group CEO & President Remi Eriksen’s presentation of the main highlights of this year’s Outlook.
A panel of energy executives, including the CEO of Vestas, will discuss how the current energy security and macroeconomic developments are affecting the speed of the transition.
The Norwegian minister of Petroleum and Energy will talk about balancing short term and long-term energy realities. What is clear in DNV’s forecast is that we are heading towards a 2.2ºC future, far from the Paris Agreement 1.5ºC goal.
That’s why, in the second panel, we look to Denmark as a showcase for turning talk into extraordinary action. Denmark combines ambitious climate targets with novel technology solutions, regulatory frameworks and governance.
We will get Ørsted’s and Energinet’s insights on Denmark’s newly announced ambitious offshore wind plans and how new energy islands will accelerate power-to-x plans.
We will also hear from the Chairman of the Danish Council on Climate Change, who assesses the Danish’ government’s climate efforts.
