Norway based offshore vessels company ‘Eidesvik Offshore’ has been awarded a one-year contract extension for the supply vessel Viking Princess with Ithaca Oil and Gas
Eidesvik Offshore ASA announced that the commencement of Ithaca Oil and Gas will be in direct continuation of the current contract expiring in early January 2020.
Earlier in June, Chevron extended the contract for Eidesvik Offshore OSV ‘Viking Princess’ to support north sea operations.
Vessel’s current contract with Chevron North Sea Limited started in January 2018, with a duration of 18 months plus 12 months options.
Previous contract term extension will be applicable from July 10, 2019, as reported by Offshore Vessel Owner.
This contract is in direct continuation to the previously exercised contract as it happened in 2018.
Offshore Supply Vessel (OSV)Viking Princess was built in 2012 by Kleven Maritime’s yard at Ulsteinvik, Ulstein, Norway. Princess is a VS 489 designed developed by Wärtsilä Ship Design and offers gas-fueled Battery Powered notations.
In November, Ithaca moves in to acquire Chevron’s North Sea fields for U$ 2 billion.
Since the late 1990s, Eidesvik has developed its subsea capabilities from performing simple inspection, maintenance, and repair duties (IMR) to delivering all types of advanced subsea services for worldwide clients – including complex operations in the subsea, umbilical, riser, and flowlines (SURF) market. Offshore wind is another strategic vessel segment for Eidesvik, with a large potential in the years to come.
From managing one subsea vessel, Våge is now in charge of a series of vessels that delivers advanced services – often under severe conditions.
