Beirut Container Terminal Consortium (BCTC) assembled it diverse and dynamic workforce along the quayside at its highly successful container terminal for a group picture. Terminal Manager Sarah Haidar said that BCTC had a highly educated, young and dynamic workforce with many women in leadership positions. Since starting operations, BCTC has created around 3,000 new jobs for Lebanese people (directly and indirectly). Supported by Portia Management Services, BCTC has invested in training and development for its Lebanese workforce which has enabled BCTC to create container terminal operations expertise which is now being exported internationally and to other group projects.
