Faces : Angela Titzrath is the new CEO of HHLA
Angela Titzrath took over as Chairwoman of the Executive Board of Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG (HHLA) on 1 January 2017. She has been a member of the company’s Executive Board since 1 October 2016. “I am excited to be assuming responsibility for one of the most important employers in Hamburg in what is a challenging time for HHLA,” Ms Titzrath said upon taking office.
She believes that HHLA is a company with great potential. “The world around us is changing fast, and this doesn’t stop at shipping companies, terminal operators and transport logistics companies. HHLA does not just have to comprehend this change, we also have to shape it for the long term,” said the Chairwoman of HHLA’s Executive Board.
After studying economics and Romance philology at Ruhr University Bochum, Angela Titzrath began her career as the Head of Operative and Strategic Controlling at Mercedes-Benz in Rome. She took on several international top management functions in various production areas at the Daimler Group between 1991 and 2012.
She also headed up the DaimlerChrysler merger for all services and equity interests and was responsible for the corporate strategy. Most recently, she was on the Executive Board of EvoBus AG. In 2012, she was appointed to the Executive Board of Deutsche Post AG. She also sits on the supervisory boards of several companies.
