Faces : Phoebe Warneford – A woman of a unique style of challenge and success

Although Phoebe Warneford – Thomson graduated with First Class Honours from the University of Birmingham in political science her dream has always been to work in the maritime field. Is the dream come true with determination and strong will when she played its roles and her responsibilities with merit, dedication, and hard work?
Phoebe Warneford-Thomson is the Policy Manager & Economic Analyst in British Ports Association
She joined the Association in 2019, working within all policy areas to strengthen the British Ports Association’s positions.
Phoebe’s role includes data analysis and evidence gathering to both back up our lobbying asks as well as to support our membership. She is particularly focussed on transport and freight issues, trade and port performance statistics as well as being the BPA’s lead on the development of the UK government’s flagship Freeports agenda. Alongside this Phoebe is also the BPA’s lead for Scottish ports and policy issues.
Phoebe joined the BPA from the University of Birmingham, graduating with First Class honours in Political Science. Phoebe was also an Officer Cadet at the University Royal Naval Unit, undertaking numerous days at sea both domestically and internationally.
