Incidents : Ibiza ferry hard aground, in danger of sinking VIDEO.

A passenger ferry has run aground in Ibiza reportedly leaving 25 people injured – two seriously – including a 10-year-old boy.
Nine were airlifted from the San Gwann ferry by a helicopter after the incident happened on Saturday evening, Spain’s coastguard said in a statement. The rest were evacuated by boat.

At least 25 people were injured, according to reports.
Two seriously injured passengers, a 10-year-old boy, and an adult were airlifted to the San Espases hospital in Mallorca, emergency services told local media.
Most others are said to have suffered minor injuries.

Ferry SAN GWANN had been running aground on a coast of islet Es Malvins, some 1.3 nm south of Ibiza, Balearic Islands, at around 2200 LT Aug 28, while en route from Ibiza to Formentera island, with 35 passengers and 12 crew on board. By 0130 LT Aug 29, all passengers were evacuated. The ship remained aground and as of 1300 UTC Aug 2, was still aground. Hull was reported, breached, water ingress is taking place, Maritime Rescue Baleari official said the ship may sink. SAN GWANN is deployed in ferry service connecting Ibiza with Formentera. No danger of pollution, because there are no vehicles on board.
