Jumbo’s vessel Fairmaster completed the final shipment for the Hornsea Two offshore wind farm

Jumbo’s vessel Fairmaster has completed the final shipment for the Hornsea Two offshore wind farm, located approximately 89 km off the Yorkshire coast in the UK part of the North Sea.

Jumbo won the contract for Hornsea Two in March 2020. The project scope included the transport of 165 monopiles (MP) and 135 transition pieces (TP) for Ørsted’s wind farm, on behalf of DEME Offshore.

Jumbo’s scope also included the design and fabrication of TP grillages and MP saddles, and the transportation and precise handling of MPs and TPs from Rostock and Aalborg to Eemshaven. Over the course of a year, 37 trips were made to deliver the components.
