Las Palmas, Gran Canaria on 21 November 2021
The world-renowned Atlantic Rally for Cruisers (ARC) departs Las Palmas, Gran Canaria on 21 November 2021. 300 entries are expected for this year’s event, including many Oyster yachts. For any Oyster World Rally entrants, this classic race is a great way to cross the Atlantic in fantastic company and start your adventure of a lifetime. You can enter either the cruising or racing classes, depending on how energetic you want to be!
A vibrant social and shore activity programme in Las Palmas gives you the opportunity to join in the exciting build-up to the event, meet fellow Oyster owners as well as many other like-minded sailors and soak up the great atmosphere this generates.
After approximately three weeks making passage across the Atlantic, the ARC finishes in the stunning Caribbean island of Saint Lucia (time at sea is dependent on the fickle Tradewinds and many skippers can claim they have completed the race in as little as 16 days). Here you will find a warm welcome in this tropical paradise, renowned for its pristine white beaches, volcanoes, and five-star luxury resorts, and don’t forget the rum!
Oyster is the only yacht builder running its own global circumnavigation, with over 90 Oyster owners completing the voyage since 2013. In this unique webinar series, we share insider knowledge about yachts, the weather, equipment, practicalities, and stopover locations gleaned from multiple circuits of the 27,000 nm route. You will hear from Oyster and industry experts, along with Oyster owner-circumnavigators, to help you understand how to prepare for this life-changing event.
