MSC Spain Sponsors Valencia Marathon and Half Marathon
MSC Spain is pleased to support the Trinidad Alfonso Valencia Marathon and the Trinidad Alfonso Zurich Valencia Half Marathon as the new official sponsor of both races, labelled the ‘best in Spain’ by the Royal Spanish Athletics Federation (RFEA).
MSC’s ties with the city of Valencia go back 40 years, when it first began operating in Spain. Now, through its support of the Valencia Ciudad del Running races, the company reaffirms its commitment to the city, which is the site of its main hub port in the Mediterranean.
This year’s marathon and half marathon are forecast to draw 30,000 and 20,000 participants respectively, and contributions like MSC’s are key to enabling these races to grow and consolidate their importance at national and international level.
Francisco Lorente, General Manager of MSC in Spain, said: “As a family business, MSC has strong values that enable us to build long-term relationships, and foster the economic growth of the communities in which we operate, as shown by our track record in Spain.
We are very proud to sponsor the races of Valencia City of Running as they continue to grow and gain notoriety around the world”.
For Paco Borao, president of the sports association organizing the races, S.D. Correcaminos, it is a “satisfaction to be able to continue enlarging the family of sponsors with such a well-known international brand, and I am sure that the help and support of MSC will be vital to help us achieve our sporting objectives to continue growing at a popular level”.
The day has finally arrived!
On Sunday 23rd October the first of this year’s races will be held; the Valencia Half Marathon.
The MSC team has been training with passion, commitment and dedication to complete this 21 kilometer race.
We will be showing our support for the MSC team and all race participants from the MSC Animation Point, located between kilometers 18 and 19 of the course.
In addition, a Batucada group, formed of employees (who have also been preparing hard for this event) will make their debut at the Animation Point!
