“EVER ATOP” is the tenth ship in a series of the latest giant container ships of the shipping line “EVER GREEN” of the “A24” class, which have all crossed the Suez Canal so far. 16.30 meters long, its tonnage is 224,000 tons, and its capacity exceeds 24,000 containers.

According to the protocol followed by the Suez Canal Authority ( SCA ) in dealing with giant ships crossing the canal for the first time, Admiral Osama Rabie,Chairman of SCA, delegated Captain Hisham Helmy, excellent chief pilot, and captain Ashraf Habib, chief pilot.to board the container ship “EVER ATOP” and welcome its crew, and hand over a souvenir to the ship’s captain

Chairman of SCA stressed that the successive crossing of the latest and largest container ships through the Suez Canal is a certificate of confidence in the canal’s ability to receive the current and future generations of the global fleet of container ships,

Emphasizing the canal’s potentials, it has made it the first destination and the ideal choice for transiting giant container ships working to transport global trade between East and West.

Admiral Rabie explained that the Suez Canal has made great strides towards implementing its ambitious strategy to raise the level of navigational services provided to ships in transit and boosting the competitiveness of the canal through the continuation of work on projects to develop the navigational course

In addition to the Authority’s adoption of environmentally friendly policies and practices within the efforts made to announce the Suez Canal, the “Green Canal.”
