UAE based one of the largest operator of advanced self-propelled self-elevating support vessels, Gulf Marine Services (GMS), has been awarded a contract by an International EPC Contractor
GMS announces today that, the award of a 6.5-month contract (firm period plus options to extend) for a K-Class (Small) vessel.
According to SESV’s operator, the customer is an international EPC contractor, for which GMS will provide support for offshore activities on behalf of a national oil company.
The work will be undertaken in territorial waters, where the vessel has already been mobilized for the project.
This will surely reduce the cost as well as availability time for the end-user.
According to GMS, the utilization of the K-Class fleet now stands at 83%.
GMS is having five K-Class units in its fleet.
Keloa

Kamikaze is 1995 built K-Class self-elevating, self-propelled jack-up barge which is capable of providing well service, construction, and accommodation capabilities for up to 150 persons. Kamikaze has a 36t crane and can operate in water depths of up to 45m.
Kikuyu
Kikuyu is 2005 built K-Class self-elevating, self-propelled jack-up barge which is capable of providing well service, construction, and accommodation capabilities for up to 150 persons. Kikuyu has a 45t crane and can operate in water depths of up to 45m.
Kawawa
Kawawa is a 2007 built K-Class self-elevating, self-propelled jack-up barge which is capable of providing well service, construction, and accommodation capabilities for up to 150 persons. Kawawa has a 45t crane and can operate in water depths of up to 45m.
Kudeta
Kudeta is a 2008 built K-Class self-elevating, self-propelled jack-up barge which is capable of providing well service, construction, and accommodation capabilities for up to 150 persons. Kudeta has a 45t crane and can operate in water depths of up to 45m.
