Saudi prince Prince Turki bin Mohamed bin Fahd Al Saud

A superyacht worth £65 million and owned by a Saudi prince has capsized. The 230ft Nourah of Riyad boasts 11 cabins for up to 18 guests – including a master suite and VIP stateroom. Owned by Saudi prince Prince Turki bin Mohamed bin Fahd Al Saud, the 1415 tonne yacht also has a jacuzzi on deck and a cinema on board. But it ended up partially submerged underwater after an accident in Athens, Greece, happened when it was being lifted out of the water for work to be carried out.

It started to list at a 45 degree angle, with water lapping at the decks. According to Superyacht News, there are not believed to have been any injuries or any marine pollution caused by the accident on March 8. Yacht fan Phil Wiseman commented: ‘Insured so he will just get another one. ‘Probably even bigger.’ Neil Padley added: ‘Ouch….that is going to cost a pretty penny.’ The yacht was built by Yachtley in Turkey in 2008 and designed by Donald Starkey.
