Mawani : A new shipping line in cooperation with “MSC” company in Jeddah Islamic Port
The General Authority of Ports “Mawani” announced today the addition of the Mediterranean Shipping Company “MSC”, a leading provider of shipping and marine services.
A new shipping line linking Jeddah Islamic Port with (10) international ports, as part of the company’s orientation towards enhancing its long-term services in the Saudi market, and expanding sea freight operations from exports and imports in all ports of the Kingdom
The new shipping line provides a link service between Jeddah Islamic Port and the ports of “Colombo, Nhava Sheva, Mundra, Salalah, King Abdullah Port, Valencia, Felixstowe, Rotterdam, Hamburg, and Antwerp”.
The service consists of 11 main ships with a capacity of 14,000 TEUs each. The first ship sailing from India is expected to arrive in Jeddah on October 23, and the first ship from Europe to Jeddah on October 26, 2022
This comes as a result of the strength of the commercial movement in Jeddah Islamic Port, as it is the largest port for importing and exporting containers in the Kingdom.
It is reflected in achieving quality performance and enhancing operational efficiency, in addition to providing direct services to the beneficiaries by enhancing the navigation link between the Kingdom and the world.
In line with the objectives of the National Strategy for Transport and Logistics Services to consolidate the Kingdom’s position as a global logistics center and a connecting hub for the three continents
