Offshore : Saipem, secured an EPC contract award for the Nigeria LNG Train 7
Saipem, as leader of a joint venture with Daewoo E&C Co. Ltd and Chiyoda Corporation secured an EPC contract award for the Nigeria LNG Train 7 Project at Bonny Island, Nigeria
According to Italy based energy service company ‘Saipem’ the contracts for the Engineering, Procurement & Construction of Nigeria LNG Train 7 Project to be executed at Bonny Island LNG complex in Nigeria.
The overall value of the contracts is above U$ 4 billion and Saipem’s share amounts to around U$ 2.7 billion.
This award follows the signature of the Letter of Intent communicated by a press release on 12th September 2019
In 2018, Nigeria LNG Limited took the Final Investment Decision of its Train 7 Project, making steady progress towards the expansion of its 6-Train Plant with a 7th Train.
The company’s strategic growth program will on completion upscale NLNG’s annual production capacity from the current capacity of 22 mtpa to 30 mtpa, approximately eight (8) MTPA, as well as support the Federal Government’s drive to diversify its revenue portfolio and generate more revenue from Nigeria’s proven gas reserves of about 200 Trillion Cubic Feet (Tcf).
