Cocaine found in Capesize bulk carrier chain locker, Rotterdam

Several packages and bags with cocaine, totaling 115 kilos, were found hidden in the chain locker of a Capesize bulk carrier GOLDEN CALVUS on Oct 15 at Rotterdam, by Customs. A bulk carrier with a cargo of coal arrived at Rotterdam on Oct 15, from Colombia. The bulk carrier left Rotterdam at around 0000 UTC Oct 17, bound for Amsterdam, understood to offload the remaining lot. No reports of crew detention/involvement, hopefully, there was none.

The vessel departed from IJMUIDEN, NL on 2021-10-17 14:42 LT (UTC +2) and is currently sailing at 5.5 knots with East direction

GOLDEN CALVUS (IMO: 9743174) is a Bulk Carrier that was built in 2018 (3 years ago) and is sailing under the flag of Marshall Is.
Its carrying capacity is 180521 t DWT and her current draught is reported to be 13.1 meters. Her length overall (LOA) is 291.9 meters and her width is 45.05 meters.
