Ferry capsized at Ormoc City, Cebu, Philippines

Ro-ro passenger ship LCT LITE FERRY 3 capsized and sank at Ormoc City Port, Cebu, Philippines, at night Sep 24, while maneuvering to berth. There were no passengers on board, of 16 crew 15 were rescued and 1 died. The ferry is resting on the bottom starboard side, with about half of the hull remaining above the waterline.

Marine Traffic reported that The Ro-Ro/Passenger Ship LITE FERRY 19 is currently located at PHIL – Philippines at position 10° 13′ 34.536″ N, 123° 53′ 0.96″ E as reported by MarineTraffic Terrestrial Automatic Identification System on 2021-09-25 08:39 UTC (7 hours, 31 minutes ago)
The wind in this area at that time blows from East direction at force 1 Beaufort
Added:The vessel is currently at port CEBU, PH after a voyage of 3 hours, 8 minutes originating from port TAGBILARAN, PH.
LITE FERRY 19 (IMO: 8773897) is a Ro-Ro/Passenger Ship that was built in 2002 (19 years ago) and is sailing under the flag of the Philippines.
Its carrying capacity is 3840 Gross Tonnage and her current draught is reported to be 3.4 meters. Her length overall (LOA) is 93 meters and her width is 16 meters.
