Ørsted has partnered with the Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST) and the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) to enhance technology research and provide talent training for offshore wind in Vietnam.
This academic cooperation is the first initiative under the memorandum of understanding (MoU) on Capacity Building and Technology Transfer for offshore wind in Vietnam between Ørsted, T&T Group, and MPI’s (Ministry of Planning and Investment) National Innovation Centre, which was signed during the Danish Royal Visit to Vietnam in November 2022.
First Vineyard Wind 1
On the other hand ,The first of the 62 transition pieces to be built for Vineyard Wind 1, the first commercial-scale offshore wind project in the United States, has been transferred on 2 December from the Windar Renovables’ offshore facilities (Tadarsa Eólica 4) to the Port of Avilés, Spain.
In 2019, Windar Renovables won a contract to manufacture, certify, assemble, inspect, store, and deliver transition pieces for the Vineyard Wind 1 offshore wind project.
