Whose appointments were made as follows
A director, who will chair the Board of Directors and will have the status of Minister of State for Canal Affairs, appointed by the President of the Republic
. A director appointed by the Legislative Body, who will be freely appointed and removed.
Nine directors were appointed by the President of the Republic, with the agreement of the Cabinet Council and the ratification of the Legislative Assembly by an absolute majority of its members.
The directors will remain in their positions for nine years and may only be removed for the causes indicated in article 20 of the Organic Law of the Panama Canal Authority.
