Amels has announced that the 74-metre superyacht Project Shadow, also known as Amels 242, has been launched from the Amels and Damen Yachting drydock in the Netherlands. The superyacht will undergo her final outfitting ahead of her delivery, expected for later this year.
Sold at the end of 2020 with Imperial representing the owner, the new 74-metre Limited Editions yacht (242 ft) will be delivered in spring 2022.
Shadow’s exterior design was penned by Tim Heywood Design, while her naval architecture was completed by her builder, Amels. The interior of the superyacht has been customised by Winch Design in close collaboration with Shadow’s owners.
Some of Shadow’s most notable features are her dedicated owner’s deck, which features a Jacuzzi forward, and an increased capacity helicopter deck. The 1,790 GT superyacht will accommodate up to 12 guests onboard.Shadow is equipped with a power and propulsion package, which complies with the latest IMO Tier III clean emissions standards. The superyacht will have a 5,000 nautical mile range while cruising at 12.5 knots and will be able to reach a top speed of 16.5 knots.
Shadow is the sixth unit of the Amels 74-metre Limited Editions range.
Amels 242
The Amels 242 is the seventh from the 74-meter design in the Limited Editions range. The Tim Heywood-designed yacht from the Dutch builder’s Limited Editions range will be completed with a unique interior by Winch Design.
The Limited Editions range of superyachts offers a proven technology platform with custom interiors. The builder has delivered forty Limited Editions yachts since 2005.
