Asia-Pacific owner to take delivery of in-build Amels 206 in early 2020; Dutch-built superyacht has an exterior by Tim Heywood
Amels has sold a new 206 from its Limited Editions range. The owner, who is from the Asia-Pacific region, will take delivery of the 62m yacht in spring 2020 and plans to cruise destinations around the world. 

The sale highlights the ongoing success of the Dutch superyacht builder’s Limited Editions approach, combining individual design choices with fast delivery. The yacht will be the latest delivery of Tim Heywood’s avant-garde design.
Rose Damen, Managing Director of Amels and Damen, said: “The Amels 206 is a proven performer and a real headturner. She is a beautiful yacht with striking curves. We’re proud to be completing this yacht for our client and can’t wait to see her on her maiden voyage next year.”
The owner has specified an elegant colour scheme in collaboration with Heywood and the Amels design team, with a light-grey hull and white superstructure highlighting the long lines from the Scimitar bow to the swim platform. The unique interiors are by Laura Sessa, working in collaboration with the shipyard’s interior specialists.
The 206 features two VIP suites on bridge deck, signature round windows in the owner’s suite and forward enclosed storage for two tenders up to 8m (26ft). The yacht has a volume of 1,131GT.
