Crowley has broadened its harbor service network with the launch of mooring operations at the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach, California — a strategic move that enhances support for ship operators along the U.S. West Coast.
By integrating mooring operations with its established ship assist and escort tug fleet, Crowley aims to deliver a seamless, safe, and efficient experience for vessels calling at these major ports. The expansion builds upon the company’s proven track record in the Pacific Northwest and reinforces its commitment to providing comprehensive marine logistics solutions.
“The introduction of our mooring services in Los Angeles and Long Beach strengthens our ability to coordinate critical port operations,” said Bannon Crowley, general manager of Crowley’s ship assist and escort division. “Through close collaboration with our partners and the International Longshore and Warehouse Union Local 13, we’re ensuring vessels can arrive, berth, and depart with maximum safety and efficiency. As customer demands evolve, we remain dedicated to offering value-driven, integrated services across the West Coast.”
With over a century of maritime experience, Crowley continues to lead the U.S. ship assist and escort sector. The company operates a modern, high-performance tug fleet across key West Coast ports — including Los Angeles and Long Beach — equipped to handle complex harbor maneuvers with reliability and safety at the forefront.
