}Cruising : Grimaldi doubles the ships employed between Ancona and Greece

The two flagships of the passenger fleet will be employed by Grimaldi between Livorno and Olbia

A few days after the news that the two flagships of the passenger fleet will be employed by Grimaldi between Livorno and Olbia, there is now a doubling of the shipping deployed in the Adriatic on the routes that connect Greece to the port of Ancona.

According to what was reported by the Greek newspaper Newmoney and in Italy by Corriere Adriatico, the Neapolitan shipping group is in fact preparing to employ not two but four vessels on the two routes Patras – Ancona and Igoumenissa – Ancona. The Cruise Europa and Cruise Olympia ferries will leave this route but for now the use of the Zeus Palace and Cruise Olbia ships is reported while only in the next few days the company will announce the other two ships destined to commute between Greece and Central Italy in Adriatic.

This whirlwind of ferries will allow Grimaldi Group to rationalize passenger capacity and at the same time increase the garage capacity for the transport of trucks and semi-trailers. Each ship, according to newmoney reports, will guarantee an increase in available cargo capacity from 150 to 230 trucks while the passenger offer will drop from 3,500 to 2,500 passengers on board.
