Foss Maritime has announced the appointment of Nathan Hough as its new President, marking a significant addition to the company’s leadership team. Hough brings with him a wealth of experience in maritime transportation and a proven record of operational excellence across multiple regions and organizations.
Before joining Foss Maritime, Hough served as Vice President of the Gulf Division at Campbell Transportation Company, where he led both strategic initiatives and daily operations across a diverse, multi-regional portfolio. His tenure there was distinguished by his ability to enhance fleet efficiency, strengthen regulatory compliance, and drive sustained business growth.
Throughout his career, Hough has held pivotal leadership positions at Kirby Corporation and Campbell Transportation, managing operations in key maritime hubs including Houston, Pittsburgh, Honolulu, and Seattle. His broad experience and leadership have earned him a reputation for excellence in operational planning, safety management, and strategic execution.
Hough holds a Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportation from the Massachusetts Maritime Academy and an Executive MBA from the University of Houston’s C.T. Bauer College of Business.
In addition to his new role, Hough currently serves as President of the Texas Waterways Operators Association and sits on the Management Board of the Lone Star Harbor Safety Committee, underscoring his continued commitment to advancing safety and innovation within the maritime sector.
