RSGT in Jeddah Islamic Port Wins Best Terminal Operator of the Year Award 2022

Red Sea Gateway Terminal (RSGT), one of the strategic partners in Jeddah Islamic Port, was awarded “Best Terminal Operator of the Year 2022″ in the Middle East at the 15th annual ShipTek International Conference and Awards of Marine, Offshore, and Oil & Gas.

The award is in recognition of RSGT’s outstanding achievements over the past year, exemplary record of growth, services, and ongoing expansion, and is a powerful testament to the dedication and professionalism of the RSGT team.

The largest terminal at Jeddah Islamic Port, RSGT handled approximately 3 million TEU in 2021, it also began serving as a homeport for cruise ship operations in partnership with Cruise Saudi with the departure of MSC cruise ship from the terminal’s new dedicated cruise line berthing facilities.

RSGT, with a current container throughput capacity of 5.2 million TEU, is pursuing a USD $1.7 billion infrastructure investment program which will increase throughput capacity to 9 million TEU by 2030 and is diligently pursuing plans to increase its local and international presence.

With 62 berths and 4 terminals over an area of 12.5 km2, the Jeddah Islamic Port is the top importing and exporting trade gateway in Saudi Arabia and a leading re-export hub on the Red Sea. The port, which has a total capacity of 130 million tons, receives 75% of the Kingdom’s incoming maritime trade and transshipment volumes.
